Allies vs. Axis Is Coming December 6th IMPORTANT UPDATE: Venue changed to Spence Field, Moultrie, GA. Date remains Dec. 6th. See post below for details.Allies vs. Axis is back for it's 22nd year on Sunday, December 6th, 2009. Don't miss this unique commemorative to Pearl Harbor Day where it's America and British vehicles competing against the Japanese and German. Italian vehicles spend the first half of the event with the Axis and the latter half with the Allies. French, take your pick, run with the Axis or the Free French Alllies. Swedish vehicles are neutral, of course. Decorate your car in WWII fighter plane insignia. You don't want to miss Dixie's largest and most popular local event of the year. UPDATE: The venue location for Allies vs. Axis is confirmed to be held at South Georgia Motorsports Park in Cecil, GA. “Wipe Up The Competition” at Allies vs. Axis by donating the most requested and needed item for the Tallahassee-Leon Shelter in serving the homeless. The number one donation needed by The Shelter is of all things, toilet paper. They use 48 rolls of commercial size toilet paper a day, over 1400 per month. The Dixie Region SCCA goal is to donate a month’s supply of toilet paper to The Shelter. 
Please bring a package of toilet paper (commercial or regular size) on the day of the Allies vs. Axis event. If you can ’t bring toilet paper, then donate $10 and we will purchase the toilet paper for you. If every entrant donates a 24-roll package of toilet paper, we will exceed our month supply donation goal. Please be a part of the Dixie Region supporting The Shelter.

Out of towners:
There is a newly renovated Motel right off I-75 at exit 32 that is cheaper than the hotels in Adel and closer to the racetrack. You should check it out, we stay there, it is nice and clean...

Just a few reminders and updates for everyone: 1. In our efforts to give back to our community, Dixie Region is running a Toilet Paper drive for The Shelter located in Tallahassee, FL. Once again, we will have a our friends from Heavenly BBQ out to provide lunch. The cost is $6 and you get a Pulled port sandwich, chips and a drink. 5. T-shirts! T-shirts!! We will have 2009 Allies vs Axis t-shirts for sale on site. We have a very limited quantity so if you would like to reserve one in advance, email Tracy Lewis ( tblewis@lewisdigital.net ) your size and how many you would like for me to reserve. The cost is $10 per shirt.  |

Here is one more hotel that is actually cheapest and closest to Spence field. The rooms are clean and only $45 including tax, but there is no breakfast.
