Okay, Good news, SMF is free! More good news; I'll have bandwidth usage records in a short amount of time, but it will probably be relatively low, compared to all the hosting space and bandwidth Dixie already has on the dixiescca.com domain. I just need to figure out how to work it and teach you admins how to work it too. Trust me, if you can grasp it, it will look a ton better than what we have here at our disposal on Proboards, and will also project a more professional aura. Proboards carries the stigma of immaturity among most "online" folks and other Internet pros. Having a slick and functional interface counts for a lot nowadays.
vBulletin is another option, but Chris Y. made it somewhat clear to me he didn't want to mess around with it, since he has had experience with it elsewhere on the Net, and I will defer to him as I have NO experience with forum administration whatsoever. Most boards out there are based off of vBulletin, but I prefer SMF.
I plan to do a lot of reading tonight. Will post again sometime Friday afternoon, as I'll be at work late into the early morning Thurday night.
