I just got a brand used miata that is a 1992 and I had to put a 91 engine with tranny in it, whiole doing that I got a cheap new clutch from a local here in albany that is a 6 puck XTD clutch I isntalled in it. I heard I am in CSP class now for doing that. I was wondering what the other local CSP class miata;s are running for their setups or do they like to keep hush hush over their setups? Thanks Justin I'm gonna try to make it out agu 16th if I get it reg and insured by than.

Welcome to Dixie Region SCCA.
There are a few other regular CSP Miatas that show up to most events. A few regulars include Travis and Karel Schneider in a 94 CSP Miata and Robert Mayfield in a 97 CSP Miata. Maybe they will chime in here or you can catch up with them at the event.
Look forward to having you there. You'll love it.
Will this your first time or do you have Solo experience? I ask because we have a terrific Solo Novice Program for first timers. If you are then just ask about it when you check in the morning of the event.

I competed in my first solo event on 9-20 with my 92 Miata. I too was classed CSP due to larger/lighter than stock wheels. I wasn't nearly as fast as many of the other CSP cars out there, but I believe this was due much more to my lack of skill than lack of a better car.

The CSP Miatas there were much more prepared than you car was, and the other drivers have been in the sport for years. Don't worry about your car's level of preparation yet. Just keep coming out and getting seat time and your times will continue to get faster.

Its not my first time autocrossing, back on guam I ran my automatic 2002 sentra 1.8l for 2 years~ in stock and street modified class there, varying success in those classes. I have never driven my own rwd car in autocross events so it will take me a some runs before I can start to get used to how to drive it.

You started autocrossing in Guam, are you in the Air Force? Marko no, my dad was working civil service there. I don't recall any of the air force guys running at the local autox, though I know there were some navy guys running their evos and other cars. I believe there is an airforce guy running his mustang now.
