A buddy of mine has a 240sx with a RB20 (2L Turbo) motor running 8psi. I'm wondering what class he's going to run in? I just want to let him know what to expect. He's a drifter and I'm trying to convert him to grip ;D
I'm thinking probably STX, unless the swap puts him in SM? He's got an LSD I think. I'll check tomorrow.

I don't know for sure, but I think the turbo puts him into modified. He'll be running a s a Novice first event anyway, we can let the Tech guys figure out what Pax to use... Marko

Sounds like this car would be eligible for Street Modified. There may be other classes as well.

I saw it on TV so I'm pretty sure I can do it.

If engine swap is from same manufacturer, possible Street Mod. on D.O.T. tyres. Otherwise E-Mod. Then most anything goes. Is the front suspension moded for drifting? Not sure what's legal in SM for increasing steering angle.

No other mods as far as suspension goes. I think. He's only a freshman in college, and he does actually have to work for his mod money, so I don't think he's got that many mods.
The RB motor is a Nissan motor, but it is a Skyline motor.
