I love 1a, 2a is a bit too plain for my taste and the b versions with the Dixie Cross/Confederate Battle Flag are in my opinion too controversial. Unfortunately the Confederate Battleflag has a stigma of white supremacy and racism...

I agree with meangreenmachine that the confederate flag being incorporated into the logo is too controversial. However, it was requested that at least one proposed version have it. I am not usually one for political correctness, but I would hate for someone to feel discouraged from racing with us or joining the SCCA because of their feelings about the flag. I personally will NOT be advocating for it's use.

1B and 2A are good looking.... As for the confederate version, I am a 'yankee' by birth and have no problem with a few stars and a pair of stripes. I moved beyond the 'stigma' of that in the early 70's.... Good job on all versions.

I moved beyond the 'stigma' of that in the early 70's.... It is a very 21st century stigma (just ask the state of georgia), and most importantly it does not depend on how we in the Region view it, it depends on how it is viewed by outsiders. Why would we even risk something that could be perceived as divisive and non-inclusive? |
