Yo- I'm posting this because A) I'm at work, bored and wanted to start something, B) Haven't done much with the build lately, so this is my next best outlet, and C) I actually do have something to talk about. Well, sort of.
The project car I'm building, the new car, the Slotus, my Locost, has a name. It's "Quinn".
I know, I said multiple times that racecars are female. I guess I've been around too many finicky old British cars. I still maintain that my MGB is female.
I'd talk to Lucretia, at the starting line before we went up the mountain somewhere, and it would go like this, "OK, Baby, we can do this, just one more time, please!?!?!?" This new car, however, has a totally different vibe to it somehow. The Slotus, still unfinished, has more of a "All right Ol' Buddy, kindle a fire in there and let's go kick some ASS!!!" attitude about it. Don't ask, I just know.
Oh, and I thought for starters it'd just be "Quinn"... We'll let timing sheets decide if he's "The Mighty Quinn" or not. I'm hoping that'll be a "Yes" myself... Hide and watch!
None of this makes any sense, I know, nor does it matter to the "real world"... But it's important to me. And to Quinn!
Peace, Love & Pushrods- JD

Yo, Sandy- That's it!!! That's the one! Exactly where the name comes from... Great Dylan (the new, Electric Dylan!) tune, doncha think? I'm kinda partial to Manfred Mann's version of it... I also heard Leon Russell do that song in concert once, and that version was awe-inspiring... This ain't bad, neither... www.youtube.com/watch?v=mU2V1EH7YEMReckon any of them young 'uns that read these forums know who Leon is? Hell, some of 'em are probably callin' on their cell phones right now, "Daddy, who was Dylan?" Thanks for the link! JDK

(Either one is possible...) ;D JDumbK Weeding is a term used for digging out the unwanted vinyl after you cut it on the machine. It's the really fun part. I'm kinda limited on materials but I have lotsa white. PS: If I make stickers for it I get to drive it once.

Sandy made some creative decals for Stella, our Lemons race car last spring. Very nice. Too bad the Lemons BS judges didn't care for our theme and made us spray can repaint a new theme on the car during the race followng a black flag penalty.

Cool! When I have body panels to put stickers on, I'll give ya a shout. Sounds like a fun afternoon to me... And we might actually make a few stickers, too. Thanks, Bro!
