Hey Arty- Yes, there were... As had been discussed in here (and abroad ;D ) the group voted for not allowing ST cars to use their Street Touring pax time, but to use the pax for the "regular" class that car would run in. As in, an ST car that would run in C Street Prepared would use the CSP pax index.
Confused? Good, my work is done here...

Drifting is not as much fun as G forces. Who knew? Hey Sandy- Amen... I ran the (Con-)Fusion on street tires. So, I'm rusty, not familiar with the car or with FWD to begin with and on streeties... I couldn't drive the damned thing to save my arse... It turned into a test of self-control (which I'm not good at) to go slowly enough into a corner so that the beast would turn in so that I could get a faster time overall. (Hint- Screaming "Turn, you B*tch!" at the car doesn't seem to help.) Worked all day to get down to a 53 something. Pitiful... Inspires me to get busy on the Slotus and order some gumballs!!!! Peace, Love and F'ing Understeer- JD

Drifting is not as much fun as G forces. Who knew? Mustang had a little too much grunt for the 555's? It was fun watching you on those first few runs, though.

Yo, Andre- I lost track of "Little Ms. Jamoto" that came with you. I meant to give her a ride, if she wanted one, but my car (and the driver) did so badly I kinda forgot. Did she have a good time? When you gonna get her a kart???

There was a shy young lady, about 10 or 12 (maybe, I'm not good at guessing ages) with Andre on Sunday. Don't know if it was daughter or niece or what... She told me her name, but she said it so softly I never did quite hear her. (Hard of hearing? Who? ME???)

That's my daughter, Aja (AH-zha). She's a very tall 9 year old. Don't worry about the ride just yet, JD, she would have been terrified (of you, or the ride? ;D). She's a bit timid, but she does want to try karting. In fact, she tested Colin's kart a few years back. She's shy now, but once she gets to know you, she won't stop talking. Literally.
Once I know she's genuinely interested, we'll start looking at some used karts.

Terrified of me??? Nahhh, that wouldn't last long! ;D Just tell her that I'm her long lost "Uncle Bubba"... Seriously, she seemed like a sweet kid, please bring her back any time. She can go for a ride whenever she wants to. Hey, I'm wandering waaa-aaay off topic here... Sorry... Back to "Street Tire" stuff. It did give me some unfamiliar feedback that may help to understand. I think I'll stick with them a few events and see if I relearn anything about the way the car handles. I managed a 45.8** for my best. (I Think) I'm not a real technical person so I usually set tire pressures the day before and forget about them. Next time I might pump them up a little harder and play with dropping them as the day goes to see how it responds.

Yo Sandy- Does clouds of white smoke off the front wheels count as "unfamiliar feedback"? If it does, then I got some too!
At the suggestions of Dr. Jackson and Ippy, I put 50 psi (scarey high) in the tires on the (Con)Fusion and it didn't seem to roll 'em over or chew up the outside edges very much at all. Now, these were not Nitto's or any hi-performance tire, just "whatever" brand that came on the car.
It also wouldn't turn for Love-Nor-Money, which may have been the 50psi up front... I didn't monkey with pressures either, 'cause I didn't wanna chew up Gayle's tires! (After all, she's the one that feeds me...)
Like I said before, "Gimme back my Hoosiers!" ;D
Seeeeee Yaaaaa- JDK

Funny, I'm pretty sure that in the novice walk through, we talk about not turning the wheel and braking at the same time, finishing braking before turning, and that too fast and turning is slower than too slow and turning. Don't you listen to your own advice? Do fish have ears?

RETURN OF THE FISH JOKES! I VOTE YES! When did they ever stop? *Sigh* I still like that "I Lobster and Never Flounder" song you gave me. Lost the CD, though... Downloaded it off YouTube!
