So, go_speed_go and artyg got me thinking about producing a very short video, detailing exactly what goes on at an autocross. I want to keep it short so's not to lose people's attention, but I also want to make sure I don't miss any important details .
Can you guys (especially novices) help me think of particular things that first timers really need to know to help them get aquatinted before their first event?

Somewhere in amongst my junk... I mean, my valuable archive materials, I have an article I wrote for Las Vegas Region on "My first autocross" which attempts to tell a newbie what to bring, what to do, etc... I'll try to find it.
One item everybody should be aware of is tire pressures. If the novices don't happen to have a portable compressor, they'd need to pump up their tires before-hand. Oh, and bring a pressure gauge.
Doing the video is a great idea... I meant to say that first!
