Hi all, I just got my hands on a 1988 Merkur XR4Ti that has undergone some modifications by the previous owner. The one thing that concerns me as far as class assignment goes is that there is a T-5 transmission from a mustang in it instead of the stock T9. This is a very common swap as the stock car really pushed the limits of the transmissions. Other than that there has been some minor intake porting, new shocks, intercooler added, and a larger exhaust in the car. Any idea on what class I will be placed in?

I saw it on TV so I'm pretty sure I can do it.

I'm thinking Street Modified. You can swap engines within manufacturer, not sure about tranny though. Maybe if it says drivetrain?

Ouch! Thats what I was afraid of. I guess the fast cars will just have to wait on my slow butt to mosey around the track then.
