I'd like to start taking video of my runs. I can't yet afford a nice GoPro, so I'm thinking a good alternative is mounting my Droid phone. Any recommendations on a good universal mount? I'd guess windshield mounting would be best. The mount would need to leave the camera lens unobstructed.

I've seen some phones mounted with dash or windshield mounts for video.

I saw it on TV so I'm pretty sure I can do it.

Mine seems to work ok. I was concerned that the long arm would allow too much shaking. don't notice it too much on the videos though. It was my fault it flew out the window at the last event.

Mine came from Best Buy, but today I saw some at WallyWorld so I'm going back there to see if they're better.

Sprung for the Bracketron PHW-203-BL from Best Buy for $20. Test drove a couple times down the street and over some bumps, and tightened it up with a zip tie. Got about 95% of the shakes out of it. Now for the real test drive on Sunday! Hopefully mine won't Super Man out of my driver's window. ;D
If you're interested, I'll let you know how it did after the weekend.
