SOLO Event Aug 19

Hi,

New to this, from Albany and thinking about coming out and participating in the Aug 19 event. Anything I should know before I come? besides water and sunscreen, will there be time for lunch or should I bring that too?

Can you help me class my car or we can do that when I get there? I drive a 2009 Subaru WRX and my friend has a 2006 BMW Z4 convertible.

I've read a lot about being a beginner but any other comments welcomed.

D-stock for the rex and B-stock for the beemer. Run in NOVICE with those classes as your modifier/pax. Make sure your battery is secured and you have all your lugnuts. Wear closed toe shoes. We usually leave some time for a quick lunch. grab some shoe polish for #'s and class. Wal-Mart has "glass chaulk" in several fashionable colours.

I forgot to ask. Are they stock or upgraded?

The BMW is stock and the WRX is stock except for the Perrin stage 1, which is a high flow cat and boost pressure increase.

I know its all about the driving so the upgrade is virtually useless and I assume this will bump me into another class?

Is it just the tune that changes boost or is it incidental to the high flow cat?

Increasing displacement or boost is a no-no to the scca classing system. Prolly Street Mod for the rex as the novice class modifier. I always wanted to build a vw bug but bigger jugs is the easiest upgrade.
