I attended yesterday's event, and as usual, you guys did a awesome job. The course was wide open and fast, which should have been great fun. I seemed however, to be universally confusing and somewhat difficult to follow for both the novices and the seasoned drivers alike. There was a crazy amount of DNF's. Have you guys ever considered running a rough chalk line defining the direction of the course? Something like the lines on a ball field. Or would this ruin the spirit of the event? I really don't want to seem like I'm complaining, you guys run a great show. I loved the long course and don't want to over simplify things either.

I saw it on TV so I'm pretty sure I can do it.

some events are lined on both sides. Up to the course designer. Its a lot of work to put on a event and that's just one more thing. we hold training sessions/camps occasionally.

I know it is a lot of work to put on events and very time consuming to design courses and set them up with just a couple of helpers. My codriver and I did not dnf but I generally felt confused at speed by the sheer number of cones and inconsistent markings. I don't think chalk lines would have helped me. I think that we can all see that the number of dnf's were unusually high and very unusual for Dixie events.

Maybe just a single line thru some of the tricky sections might help. But I agree, you guys already do a lot of work out there to make it fun for the rest of us. Thanks for that.
I attended one of your training events a couple of years ago, had a great time and would love to go again. When is the next one scheduled?
